Position Summary: The Construction Dispatcher is responsible for obtaining required information from the Superintendents for the daily work schedules including labor and equipment needs, rental trucks and equipment, small tools, construction materials (i.e. barrier wall, forms, etc.) start times and low-bed. Responsibilities:
- Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near-misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value - Safety first, in everything we do.
- Collect and distribute daily work schedules for each project.
- Schedule equipment moves in line with job schedule needs.
- Communicate with Construction Operations Manager labor and equipment needs and changes daily.
- Contact and set up owner/operator rental trucks as required.
- Keep files for insurance certificates.
- Coordinate labor and equipment needs on daily basis.
- Solicit pricing for rental tools and equipment.
- Track and keep up to date small tool inventory.
- Perform a small tool inventory on job sites on a quarterly basis.
- Coordinate deliveries to/from construction yard/projects.
- Maintain inventory in the construction yard.
- Assist in loading/unloading deliveries to construction yard.
- Prepare material handling plans for Cosmonaut yard.
- Solicit pricing on rental tools and equipment.
- Maintain communication list for SE Construction along with emergency contact information for construction team members.
- Maintain directions to construction sites.
- Maintain pick up truck list.
- Maintain list of team members with CDL licenses.
Qualifications:
- Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Power Point.
- Capable of operating front end loaders, excavators and forklifts.
