Reports To: Trucking Division Manager Hours: Monday - Friday / 5:00 am - 5:00 pm / 1 hour unpaid lunch break SUMMARY The primary responsibility of the Dispatch position is to organize the daily dispatch of equipment and the processing of the daily time sheets. Assist the dispatchers in any other needs they may have. DUTIES
- Responsible for scheduling drivers and organizing the daily dispatch of all equipment.
- Coordinate transportation demands for equipment needs on a normal and emergency basis
- Perform record keeping as needed
- Assisting/Fill in for Receptionist if needed
- Perform record keeping as assigned
- Perform inventory control processes
- Reporting as assigned
- Assisting in scheduling drivers and organizing the daily dispatch of all equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Trucking Division Manager
- Maintain customer relations via phone and fax, and making additions, cancelations and changes regarding equipment locations
- Process daily driver time sheets
- Be able to handle fast pace demands as they come
- Other duties as assigned
JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- Previous dispatch and customer service experience in the equipment rental/construction industry and/or related field preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (including Outlook, Excel, and Word)
- Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
- Demonstrated ability to work to a high standard of quality and efficiency to meet customer expectations, timelines, and company project goals
- Must possess excellent verbal communication both in person and on phone
- Demonstrated effective organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Must be willing to work nights and weekends when business needs necessitate.
