ROLE SUMMARY The Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing and overseeing all inventory-related operations at their designated location. Further, the Inventory Specialist is responsible for communicating inventory needs with the General Manager and Retail Buyer and ensuring an accurate and compliant inventory. This role is also responsible for ensuring the inventory data and online menu is accurate. The Inventory Specialist will provide support to the store as part of the management team when needed. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure cannabis and merchandise inventory is accurate and accounted for in the daily audit.
  • Report, investigate, and rectify any inventory discrepancies.
  • Receives and inputs new shipments into Dutchie.
  • Creates new products in Dutchie as assigned.
  • Updates product pricing to reflect MSRP.
  • Ensure prices, percentages and product information is accurate on the website.
  • Mitigate any inventory issues to resolve with Dutchie when necessary.
  • Communicate with the NY Buyers on any new trends or product requests for product ordering and delivery scheduling
  • Organizes and labels inventory in the vault to maximize space and efficiency.
  • Communicates any issues regarding the inventory, sales, or operations to the supervisor.

WORK ENVIRONMENT This job operates in a professional retail environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand at a workstation for extended periods; walk; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms and ability to work on iPad, laptop or desktop for extended periods of time reading, reviewing and analyzing information and providing recommendations and summaries to patients. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employees may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 25 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential. POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORKThis position regularly requires long hours and possible weekend work. REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
  • High School diploma or GED
  • One+ years inventory experience
  • Dispensary-related experience a plus
