Benefits offered: Medical, Vision, Dental, 401 K The selected candidate will perform the following duties: Responsible for assisting in the safe and reliable operation, dispatching, and restoration of facilities for the client Distribution System as assigned. Essential Job Functions & Tasks: 1) Promote and enforce the Company's Safety and Health programs. 2) Be knowledgeable and adhere to written company and department policy and procedures. 3) Demonstrate the highest standards of ethical behavior and support the Company's Corporate Compliance Policy. 4) Effectively operate company communication equipment. 5) Track crew locations and ongoing work on the distribution system. 6) Dispatch service personnel to respond to outage and emergency situations. 7) Authorize the energizing and restoration of distribution facilities. 8) Maintain accurate outage records. 9) Maintain accurate records of abnormal and defective equipment for distribution facilities. Basic Qualifications: Education requirements are listed below: ssociate degree in electrical or electronic technology Bachelor of Science in any field or equivalent education and/or experience. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: The required Pre Employment tests are listed below: EEIDEB - SASS Basic Data Entry EEISOPD - System Oper Power Dispatching Physical demand level is Sedentary Successful completion of the System Operator/Power Dispatching Selection System (SOPD) and Support and Administrative (SASS) Data Entry Module only tests are required for this position. A review of Employment Testing Information, Test-Taking Tips, and the SOPD and SASS Practice Tests may be helpful. Due to call-out responsibility, applicants must live within or be willing to relocate to within 30 minutes of the reporting location. Must be able to work under pressure during periods of critical system conditions and deal with diverse situations simultaneously. Critical decisions must be made affecting reliability and priority of service to customers. Failure to issue correct instructions could affect personnel safety, welfare of the general public, equipment damage, loss of revenue and adverse publicity.
