Job Description:
NOTE: U.S. citizenship is required. We cannot accommodate green card holders for this role. We are currently seeking a full-time DAS Engineer who is more of a hands-on technician proficient in troubleshooting, repairing, and installing. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in troubleshooting, fixing, and replacing Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) at various locations within the NYC/NJ areas. This position is crucial in supporting our state government customer with the reliable operation of their in-building wireless communication systems. Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel: Travel regularly to various locations in the NYC/NJ area to maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade DAS systems.
  • DAS System Support: Provide hands-on support for the design and implementation of in-building DAS systems for neutral host wireless cellular systems and public safety systems.
  • Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Perform DAS provisioning, commissioning, integration, and troubleshooting to ensure all systems are up to date and functioning optimally.
  • Installation: Handle the installation of fiber optic and coaxial cables, ensuring high-quality connectivity and system integration.
  • Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system diagrams, reports, and manuals, to support ongoing operations.
  • Stay Updated: Remain current on the latest technologies and equipment in the DAS field.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of wireless communications systems, with a strong focus on in-building DAS for neutral host wireless cellular systems and public safety systems.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in DAS provisioning, commissioning, integration, and troubleshooting, as well as the installation of fiber optic and coaxial cables.
  • Frequency Bands: Experience working with systems operating in the 800MHz, 400MHz, and cellular bands.
  • Technical Writing: Strong technical writing skills to produce clear and comprehensive documentation.
  • Citizenship: U.S. citizenship is required. We cannot accommodate green card holders for this role.

  • Duration: 1-year contract
