Overview: We are looking for an individual that enjoys working in the fast-paced environment of Shipping and Receiving. Distribution Assistants help maintain accurate levels of raw materials, work in process, packing and finished goods. Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday 7 am to 3 pm or 8 am to 4 pm Occasional Overtime including Saturdays Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the maintenance of accurate inventory levels of raw goods, work in process, packaging and finished goods
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and handheld scanners in an efficient and safe manner
  • Unload and load multiple trailers daily operating a forklift
  • Build skids of product for customer orders
  • Process, document and ship finished goods
  • Interact with production supervisors to provide finished goods product availability
  • Storage and warehouse of finished goods material
  • Receive, process and store incoming deliveries
  • Maintain an efficient and organized storage area
  • Operate computer to maintain material files for management
  • Maintain orderly and neat work areas for easy and safe access
  • Ensure all paperwork is prepared and distributed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Maintain accuracy of inbound and outbound shipments
  • Maintain cooperative working relationships with departmental employees
  • Maintain good attendance and safety record
  • May be asked to operate machines in manufacturing plant as needed
Requirements
  • High School or GED completion preferred
  • Knowledge of warehousing and distribution as well as material handing equipment experience preferred
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds consistently
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Must be able to communicate with employees and management in an effective verbal and written manner
