Your Role

The Distribution Associate 1 at MilliporeSigma in Sheboygan Falls will complete the following tasks on a daily basis:

* Receive material from outside vendors

* Select orders for processing

* Verify chemicals, catalog number, lot number, special request information, unit size and weights against order documentation found in packing instructions

* Print and apply all required labels and markings to boxes and pack hazardous items for shipment to customer following established procedures and instructions while complying with hazard regulations

* Prepare materials for shipment, verify that all appropriate markings and labels are present on packages to comply with company procedures and DOT, IATA, and IMO regulations, making corrections when necessary

* Scan or meter products into the shipping system

* Accurately document all movement of materials

* Use a powered pallet jack and manual material handling equipment

* Perform defined audit tasks with guidance

* Condense, straighten, and maintain warehouse and dock areas

* Report unsafe or potentially unsafe hazards to team leads or member of management

* Miscellaneous duties, projects, and tasks as assigned

* Follow good distribution practices (GDP)

* Shift/hours: 1st shift, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, M-F

Physical Attributes:

* Wear appropriate protective gear, (hard hats, glasses/goggles, chemical resistant suits, gloves, safety shoes) and other personal protection equipment PPE to protect from toxic or corrosive chemicals in the forms of liquids, solids, vapors or airborne particles

* Sit, stand, walk, reach above the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, or crawl

* Lift and move up to 50 pounds unassisted

* Move more than 50 pounds with assistance

* Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjust focus

* Regular use of phones, computers, office equipment, and laboratory equipment

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

* 1+ year of work experience in a warehouse environment

* Knowledge of shipping regulations

* Experience working with hazardous materials

* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

* Adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
