Job Type Full-timeDescriptionSummary: The Distribution Center Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of a fleet of non-CDL vehicles for use by Second Harvest Foodbank (SHFB) staff and volunteers, as well as partner agency staff and volunteers, with the purpose of creating flexible food distribution methods to better meet the unique needs of our programs, partner agencies, and the communities they support. The Distribution Center Coordinator will also partner with the transportation department on scheduling and fulfilling large-scale distributions including mobile pantries and supplemental distributions. Position Responsibilities & Essential Functions
- Manage fleet of non-CDL vehicles, to be utilized for a variety of food distribution initiatives, to include, but not limited to:
- Responsible for the fulfillment of Second Harvest's 70 monthly mobile pantry distributions
- Coordinating neighborhood pop-up mobile pantries (primarily via partner agencies) when requested by partnerships and programs department
- Coordinating special event produce distribution (school events, community festivals, etc.) that are associated with charitable distribution through partners or programs.
- Fulfilling supplemental produce/cooler distribution for smaller partner agencies when requested by partnerships and programs department
- Coordinating just in-time or smaller deliveries for partners agencies from SHFB to partner sites
- Grower purchase or gleaning pick-ups with deliveries to partner sites.
- Manage non-CDL fleet schedule.
- Review vehicle use requests to determine feasibility of use and appropriate vehicle based on need and availability.
- Staff vehicle for SHFB program events and drive as needed.
- Occasional weekend distributions
- Load and unload vehicles of food and event items as needed.
- Assist with food selection based on vehicle capacity, functionality and event.
- Coordinate with Food Resource team to determine feasibility of tailored order requests.
- Partner with Transportation Manager on vehicle maintenance
- Partner with Volunteer Services Coordinator to supervise non-CDL volunteer Drivers
- Develop and maintain tracking system to manage staff, partner staff, and volunteer driving record checks and insurance requirements in partnership with volunteer services coordinator

- 2 years of related work experience in a distribution center, delivery, or customer service role.
- Valid Driver's License and a good driving record, with no more than two moving violations within the last three years.
- Forklift and Pallet Jack Certification
- Ability to travel throughout our 16-county service area for food distributions and meetings.
- Ability to successfully pass background check.
Preferred Education/Experience
- Experience working with community-based, nonprofit organizations.
- Lived experience with the impacts of systemic racism or marginalization.
Salary Description $49,674 - $59,568 annually, based on experience
