Build Your Career with Ashley!Distribution Center Facilities Maintenance Senior TechnicianWhat Will You Do?The Maintenance Leader in the Warehouse assists the Warehouse Superintendent directing the daily activities of the warehouse, including labor & scheduling, supervision and proper utilization of space, equipment and man power. Maintains accountability for the safe, efficient and Lean Operation of the facility and equipment. This role will be 80% hands on maintenance and 20% management. Maintenance, fabrication, welding and repair of the following are expected daily in the facility: PIV (Forklift Maintenance), recycling equipment, racking and all other facility maintenance needs such as HVAC, electrical and plumbing.* Schedule, coordinate and supervise the installation and relocation of equipment, as well as dust collection, compressed air and electrical system* Develop, learn, and train others in the operation of all types of equipment and processes* Rebuild, refurbish, and modernize old or obsolete machinery, processes or technology* Trouble, test, adjust and repair, equipment, and processes* Comply and enforce all safety procedures, including LOTO, and is responsible for shutting down any equipment that may pose a safety risk* Work with Management to develop and improve SOP's related to all equipment* Contribute ideas for equipment in all areas using appropriate means of communication* Enforce all safety and OSHA policies as required to maintain complianceWhat Do You Need?* 2 years experience troubleshooting and repairing PIV - Forklifts and welding of racking, recycling equipment and other fabrication needs, required* Order all necessary supplies from approved vendors through MRO purchasing, coordinate urgency, and priority with purchasing* Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, HVAC and Plumbing, required* Knowledge of working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems* Ability to use all shop tools, and testing and measuring equipmentWho We AreAt Ashley, we're more than a business…we're family.
