Retail Distribution Center Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

What Will You Do?

The Maintenance Leader in the Warehouse assists the Warehouse Superintendent directing the daily activities of the warehouse, including labor & scheduling, supervision and proper utilization of space, equipment and man power. Maintains accountability for the safe, efficient and Lean Operation of the facility and equipment. This role will be 80% hands on maintenance and 20% management. Maintenance, fabrication, welding and repair of the following are expected daily in the facility: PIV, recycling equipment, racking and all other facility maintenance needs such as HVAC, electrical and plumbing.

  • Schedule, coordinate and supervise the installation and relocation of equipment, as well as dust collection, compressed air and electrical system
  • Develop, learn, and train others in the operation of all types of equipment and processes
  • Rebuild, refurbish, and modernize old or obsolete machinery, processes or technology
  • Trouble, test, adjust and repair, equipment, and processes
  • Comply and enforce all safety procedures, including LOTO, and is responsible for shutting down any equipment that may pose a safety risk
  • Work with Management to develop and improve SOP's related to all equipment
  • Contribute ideas for equipment in all areas using appropriate means of communication
  • Enforce all safety and OSHA policies as required to maintain compliance

What Do You Need?

  • 5 years' experience troubleshooting and repairing PIV equipment, racking, recycling equipment and welding, required
  • Supervisory/Management experience Licenses or Certifications
  • Company-issued PIV License or ability to obtain within 60 days, required
  • Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and electronic problems
  • Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement
