Are you a seasoned professional in the manufacturing industry with a knack for managing distribution centers? We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to fill the role of a Permanent Distribution Center Manager. This position offers an opportunity to utilize your expertise in distribution, warehouse management, material requirements planning, SAP, inventory management, and shipping and receiving processes. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, having a track record of improving efficiency and productivity within a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This is a permanent, full-time position that requires 5+ years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

As a Distribution Center Manager, you will be tasked with:

Overseeing all daily operations of the distribution center, ensuring all activities are carried out efficiently and effectively.

Managing and optimizing warehouse layout and product placement using material requirements planning and SAP systems.

Implementing and maintaining inventory management systems to ensure accurate stock levels, and minimize losses and discrepancies.

Coordinating shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all goods are properly handled, stored, and delivered on time.

Developing and implementing strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and overall performance of the distribution center.

Leading, coaching, and developing a team of warehouse staff to meet and exceed performance targets.

Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient supply chain operations.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing a distribution center or similar role in the manufacturing industry.

Proven expertise in distribution, warehouse management, material requirements planning, SAP, inventory management, and shipping and receiving processes.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.

Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to implement effective solutions in a timely manner.

Strong knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

A Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred.
