Description Educates and teaches new associates on best practice standard operating procedures in the respective department[s]. Assists with coordinating the efforts of day to day departmental operations. Provides support to the operation by answering operational and or systems questions, conducting performance observations, assisting in the performance development of identified individuals. Performs the work of a Material Handler / Processor or Power Equipment Operator. 1. Provides education and teaching to new associates on departmental best practice standard operating procedures. 2. Works collaboratively with supervisor[s] to assist in the execution of the daily workload. 3. Monitors and audits associate work to provide guidance to the associates within assigned department(s). 4. Communicates workload distribution within the department(s) as set by supervision. 5. Supports continuous improvement efforts and projects. 6. Identifies processes that are not working and provides input to correct issues. 7. Utilizes electronic equipment and/or soft / hard copy formats to accurately record the movement of merchandise from the time it is received until it is shipped. 8. Performs semi-routine duties where some judgment is required. Work is performed under defined and uniform procedures. 9. Exhibits reasonable care to safely perform work and/or operate material handling equipment. 10. Performs operational work in the designated manner to prevent damage to merchandise and/or prevent unsafe and unstable loads. 11. Performs general housekeeping duties within the department and throughout the facility to ensure a safe and appropriate working environment. Qualifications 1. High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years previous distribution/fulfillment center experience preferred. 2. Demonstrated knowledge of D/F Center operations and good math skills. 3. Working knowledge of WMS and experience with Microsoft Office Suite with a core abilities in Word and Excel. Outlook knowledge a plus. 4. Strong interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills needed. 5. Demonstrated presentation, verbal, and written communication skills. 6. Successfully complete in-house class to be licensed to operate material handling equipment in a correct and safe fashion when/if required. 7. Maintain a positive working relationship with all associates within immediate work group, other D/F Centers, and General Office. 8. Perform physical activity at a sustained pace within a D/F Center environment where walking, bending, and lifting is required. 9. Move a minimum of 60 pounds on a regular basis is required.
