Flexibility may be required if the company's operational demands shift)What Will You Do?The Retail Distribution Center (RDC) Operations Manager directs the daily production activities of various warehouse departments. This position will lead and mentor RDC Operations Supervisors to achieve overall performance goals for production, labor, cost, quality and safety. The RDC Operations Manager is accountable for safety, quality and productivity as well as the facility and equipment. This will support inbound operations; receiving and returns.
  • Provide direct daily supervision to operations supervisors to ensure a safe, clean and efficient operation of the warehouse that meets service standards.
  • Assists RDC management in developing programs to train and motivate personnel for increased effectiveness and professional development.
  • Make recommendations on programs to improve warehouse operations. Lead assigned team to ensure that customer requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Communicate with HomeStore personnel on customer pick-ups, returns, cancellations, deliveries, reschedules and add-ons. Ensure all HomeStore Delivery/Pick-up product is inspected and meets necessary quality standards. Ensure all variations to the quality Qualifications
  • Manages and monitors activities engaged in receiving, stocking, picking, assembling, conditioning, inventory of products and delivery.
  • Works with the system to improve inventory processes with respect to productivity and quality (picking, put-away, receiving, MTOs, customer pick up, etc.) to ensure a lean, efficient execution in all the processes.
What Do You Need?
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Logistics or related field or equivalent work experience, Required
  • 5 years of experience in distribution/fulfillment and/or supervising production/warehouse employees and processes, Required
  • Company-issued industrial vehicle license, or ability to obtain within 30 days, Required
  • Knowledge of LEAN, Six Sigma, Kaizen Process Improvement methodology
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment
  • Action Oriented - dedicated to making and meeting deadlines
