POSITION SUMMARY: The Distribution Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the distribution center, ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of inventory, and leading a team of warehouse staff. This role involves coordinating shipping and receiving activities, managing inventory levels, and implementing best practices for safety and efficiency while meeting KPI objectives. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Supervise and train distribution team, ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
- Monitor daily operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Seak continuous improvement by developing and implementing operational procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and ensure proper stock levels are maintained.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., sales, customer service) to fulfill orders and address any issues.
- Analyze performance metrics and generate reports to assess operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
- Resolve any issues related to shipping discrepancies or damaged goods.
- Actively participate in the recruiting process, staffing at levels to meet the shipping volume and KPIs.
- Foster a positive team environment, encouraging collaboration and continuous improvement.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in distribution, warehousing, or logistics management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in distribution.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
