At the Memphis PDC, you will work alongside highly motivated individuals within the organization's Leadership Team, focusing on both short and long-term goals and objectives of the PDC. Total staffing for the facility equals approximately 175 people and includes salaried exempt employees, salaried office employees, and hourly warehouse employees. The Memphis PDC currently has two (2) shifts; operations take place Monday through Friday from 1st shift 6:00 am to 2:30 pm & 2nd shift from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am. Both shifts may be required to work overtime as needed to meet daily customer orders.The ideal candidate must have:Strong interpersonal skills. employee assistance program; comprehensive healthcare plans and wellness programs; onsite fitness (at some locations); tuition assistance and volunteer paid time off; short-term and long-term disability plans.What You Drive at DTNAManages and directs the activities of the distribution center, involving the reception, delivery, and control of merchandise.Develops and monitors budgets, maintains safety/security and inventory control programs, ensures distribution center facilities and equipment are properly maintained, and proposes improvements to optimize the distribution process.Exercises general supervision of overall distribution activity, including inventory control, order processing, warehouse activities, transportation, maintenance, and customer service.Provide leadership and support to supervisory staff, including direct, indirect, and support functions within the Parts Distribution Center.Plan and establish work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to maximize productivity.Lead the PDC Continuous Improvement effort in zone of responsibility.Analyze operational and statistical data to identify and determine causes of production problems and develop action plans for improvement.Develop and execute strategic plans based on production process analysis and make recommendations on solutions to process improvements.Shared responsibility for PDC safety and security programs as well as vendor management and all equipment and maintenance issues.Responsible for warehouse layout, reconfiguration efforts, space utilization, and slotting to support efficiency.Develop/monitor budgets and expenses for zone of responsibility.Responsible for all inventory control and customer service activities to include credit/claim issues and returning defective material to suppliers.Establish, evaluate, and communicate quality and throughput goals for each area.Point of contact for all federal, state, local, and corporate audit/inspection efforts.Engage in both tactical and strategic planning to maximize operational efficiencies.Super User for SAP, DView, IMS, and all other systems in use at the PDC.Working knowledge of both Domestic and International Distribution concepts.Determine workforce/staffing levels, direct and indirect recruitment, and retention.Interpret Company policy and procedure for the workforce including conflict resolution between employees.Facilitate problem solving between the PDC and corporate functions, including the PDC Operations and TOS teams both located in Fort Mill, SC.Other duties as assigned by manager.Support and facilitate a safe and ethical work environment and working culture.Knowledge You Should BringBachelors Degree or 6 years' experience in lieu of degree.Previous Leadership experience within an operational environment;
