Position Summary Assist with managing and coordinating activities of associates and systems concerned with picking product and preparing it for same day shipping both nationally and internationally via expedited carrier services. Assist with managing all aspects of distribution planning and scheduling, inventory, shipping and receiving. Design and execute strategies and plan to meet short-term and long-term fulfillment objectives. The position supports a lean and a safe environment while focusing on continuous improvement, quality, and support of teamwork throughout the Company. Essential Job Functions
- Understand and master the entire fulfillment process through multiple systems including Oracle PeopleSoft, Magic Warehouse, and Order Express
- Have a firm understanding of both Domestic and International Shipping requirements
- Understand how to locate and complete a change form from Customer Service.
- Have a firm understanding on Receiving in Purchase orders from outside vendors.
- Understand the operations of a PID and how to pick, issue material, reopen, clock off scrap, and operations.
- Understand how to manually etch tools for PID's and Sales Orders
- Understand how to process and close RMA's
- Investigate shipping and picking errors.
- Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Help manage the distribution center resources to increase throughput within the fulfillment process and reduce bottlenecks.
- Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency through lean and continual improvement practices. Consult with Distribution Center Manager for improvement process.
- Ensures materials are stored properly to comply with safety procedures. Helps manage rotation of inventories within the warehouse. Conducts root cause analysis of discrepancies.
- Assist with maintaining time and attendance records with associates.
- Provide cross training for associates in matters pertaining to the incumbents' assigned responsibilities. Utilize the appropriate documents and training plans identifying associate's competency as outlined in QMS requirements.
- Assist with conducting annual competency reviews and provide continual feedback on performance.
- Participate in personnel development at all levels through talent acquisition, performance management, providing opportunity for high performers, education, communication, expectation setting, and self-actualization.
- Assist with developing shift leaders to effectively oversee the daily routine of their assigned shift.
- Identify associate skills and develop them by coaching and counseling on a regular basis. Train and motivate associates to safely operate material handling and operational equipment.
- Coordinate & promote associate safety; train associates on location's safety procedures & equipment, enforce company safety guidelines and standards.
- Assist in investigating customer complaints involving returned product / shipping errors, when required.
- Create an environment that encourages associate participation, teamwork and open communication by actively leading or participating on cross-functional teams.
- Train and develop Inventory Control / Distribution associates to support throughput objectives.
- Have excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Assist other departments, facilities and support teams for continuous improvement.

- High school diploma or GED.
- BS or BA degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or be pursuing one of those degrees is preferred.
- Three to five years' experience in warehousing, receiving, inventory control, or materials management with two years' supervisory experience may be substituted.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and effectively communicate in English.
Other Qualifications Desired Training & Experience
- Experience with inventory, fulfillment, expediting, WMS/MRP/ERP systems, quality/continuous improvement initiatives, manufacturing, and warehousing safety practices and efficient on MS Office applications.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions, both oral and written.
- Knowledge of product characteristics and manufacturing processes.
- Must possess the ability to organize, train, direct, and motivate others.
- Must have working knowledge of quality standard specifications and other manufacturing related equipment.
- Must be an effective communicator in writing and speaking with the target audience.
- Working knowledge of decimal and metric system.
- APICS certification (CPIM/CIRM) is desirable.

License Required: Must have and maintain a valid Ohio driver's license and be accepted by the company's insurance carrier to drive company vehicles. Visual Acuity: Must be able to visually detect small chips, cracks, voids and similar defects in finished product with or without accommodation. Must be able to read and differentiate tool descriptions/EDP#s and work instructions/procedures with or without accommodation. Hearing Ability: Ability to meet the minimum essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Working Conditions: Position divided between normal office environment and well lit, climate controlled, distribution center environment with moderate-loud noise levels. Position subject to occasional light to medium lifting (up to 50lbs). Constant use of upper extremities with frequent gripping motions and wrist deviations. Occasional reaching above shoulder height, below the waist or lifting as required. Position frequently handles sharp cutting tools. Additional Comments

- Associate is required to follow other job-related duties, subject to all local, state, and federal laws and applicable regulations.
- The associate must successfully perform all requirements of the position training plan.
