As a Distribution Channel District Sales Manager you will be responsible for expanding the company's market share by engaging rental outlets and other construction equipment distributors in the marketing of the company's construction product line primarily focused on concrete cutting, drilling, polishing and demolition. Typical work includes conducting research on potential clients and applications, scheduling/executing demonstrations at the clients' actual work site and ultimately making product/applications recommendations and sales that best serve the distributors business needs. This is not a suit and tie job. You will be in retailer sites but also on mining, construction and other industrial sites putting the equipment to work. You'll need to bring to the table a strong customer service/sales aptitude (ability to listen and to influence) as well as basic technical aptitude. You will be supported by a technical team as well as in-field product specialists. This is a new position being created because of tremendous growth in the market. You will work from home. Territory includes Southern Louisiana. You can live anywhere in the territory but preference would be for Baton Rouge or New Orleans. You will see approximately 50% overnight travel with the flexibility to build your own schedule. This is a base + commission role with a base at approximately $40,000 and a realistic expectation of $40,000 in commissions in your first year (based on current sales in that market). Commissions are uncapped. You'll have a company car, computer, phone, etc. Second year should be $100k.
