Job Description:

The Distribution Clerk is responsible for timely and accurate preparation and processing of customer orders, maintaining records and logs for warranty information and repairs sent to manufacturer, as well as customer contact and processing of orders on an as needed basis.Prepares box stock for use by operation of box taping machine or by hand taping of boxesViews customer orders in computerized order systemPulls and packages appropriate equipment and/or medications to fill orderAffixes proper prescription and barcode labels to medication boxes, handwrites any special instructions (i.e., signature required, UPS only, etc) on the barcode label, and forwards the filled order to the pharmacist for verification prior to shipmentStocks work stations with appropriate supplies and product/equipmentPrepares packages for shipment using computerized shipping systems by creating and affixing accurate shipping labels, sorting the packages by carrier, and stacking them in the appropriate area for pickup by the designated carrierMaintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, shipping supply area, and work stations neatMay operate forklift and/or pallet jackCommunicates with customers via inbound and outbound manual and/or automated callsAssesses customer need for additional products/services, including product/warranty repairsAssesses customer compliance with physician ordersAnswers questions and provides customer education regarding products/services, within Board of Pharmacy Regulations, if applicableDocuments calls in computerized record keeping systemEnters customers' orders in computerized systemVerifies and updates demographic information such as address and telephone number in computerized recordsResponsible for meeting specific performance objectives related to orders filled, orders shipped, number of calls handled, orders processed, time on call, time entering information in computerized system, etc.#DDEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Graduate from an accredited high school or equivalentStrong attention to detail with good computer skillsComprehend verbal and written instructionsMay have to obtain a Pharmacy Technician License in the state of employmentPHYSICAL DEMANDS - The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
