What your role entails and how you'll contribute:

Our beautiful store is located on the third level of the Crown Center shops in the heart of Kansas City. Halls offers a new shopping experience in a fresh and exciting environment, taking an active role in Crown Center's goal of creating a vibrant central city. Now is your opportunity to join The New Halls Kansas City. The One. The Only. The Distribution Center and Store Assistant position is responsible for work in our Distribution Center, as well as helping to prepare the store sales floor for business. Your time will be split, about 70% in the distribution center, and 30% in the store. Duties and responsibilities include: Auditing receiving memo's against invoices or packing slips. Updates our inventory system to accurately add new receipts into inventory. Generates price tickets for new merchandise. Investigates and helps resolve receipt discrepancies. Checks in new merchandise. Puts price tickets on new merchandise. Helps with daily housekeeping tasks. Will cross train in other distribution center areas such as, but not limited to: receiving dock, shipping, supplies, warehouse functions, delivery driver. Helps with stock work. Helps with price changes and mark downs. Moves sales fixtures as needed. Brings supplies to the sales floor. Other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be capable of standing or sitting for prolonged periods, lifting to 50 lbs., bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling carts

  • Good computer skills using a variety of programs.
  • Good communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good math skills
  • Very good problem-solving skills
  • Additional Information: This is a warehouse position, and you may be working in the following conditions: some noise, fumes, heat, and dust.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

  • This position is located at the Halls KC retail department store located at the Crown Center Shops.
  • Basic store hours are Mon-Sat 10am - 6pm; Sun 12pm - 5pm
  • Current Fall hours are Mon-Wed, Sat 10am - 6pm; Thu-Fri 10am-7pm; Sun 12pm - 5pm
  • Holiday hours for 2024 are Mon-Thu, 10am - 7pm; Fri-Sat 10am-8pm; Sun 12pm - 6pm.
  • The work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm. Will be required to work once a month on a Sunday 10:30am - 5:00pm, on a rotating schedule.
  • May be required to work Additional hours seasonally.
  • Relocation will not be provided
