POSITION SUMMARY: The Distribution Coordinator is responsible for managing the distribution processes to ensure efficient and accurate delivery of products to customers. This role involves coordinating logistics, maintaining inventory levels, and collaborating with various departments to optimize distribution operations. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Plan and coordinate the distribution of products to meet customer demands and delivery schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in inventory management to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective shipping and receiving.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for shipments, including packing lists, invoices, and customs forms.
- Track and resolve any distribution issues, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies.
- Implement and maintain distribution best practices to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Analyze distribution metrics and prepare reports for management to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards related to distribution operations.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in shipping and logistics coordination.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in shipping software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
