Schedule: Part-time 20 hours. Every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) 7:00 am - 5:30 pm. Holiday rotation.As the lead position, the primary responsibility of the Distribution Coordinator is to direct the activity of all patient Transporters and Decontamination Techs within the department to ensure the timely response to all calls received by the department.The Distribution Coordinator must have a complete understanding of all department responsibilities as they relate to the hospital, receive, dispatch, and prioritize all calls, and resolve issues when necessary.The Distribution Coordinator may also be required to perform transport or Decontamination duties when staffing is limited.
- Receive requests through Epic ADT/P Transport Manager
- Enter all required information into Epic Transport Manager
- Dispatch calls to available transporters via pager or Vocera
- Implement break and lunch times minimizing how the department will be impacted during these times
- Correct scheduling issues that might occur by calling in replacement transporters as necessary
- Transport patients and supplies when needed for staffing reasons.
- Daily code cart cage inventory outdated and supply check and complete code cart restocking if necessary.

Qualifications- High school education or equivalent required.
- Experience in a lead or supervisory position is preferred.
- Staff adheres to all C.A.R.E. Standards
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English: oral, written, and typed.
- Computer and typing skills.
- Ability to handle incoming and outgoing calls in a professional manner
