Electrical Consultants Inc. has immediate openings for an experienced distribution engineer in various ECI offices. The successful candidate will serve as a distribution engineer responsible for conceptual, preliminary, and final design of overhead and underground distribution facilities ranging in voltage from 4.16 kV - 34.5 kV. Focus will be on the design of distribution systems both urban and rural.Responsibilities include:Design of overhead distribution systems using PLS CADD, Stakeout, or other distribution design software.Preparing staking sheets.Design of overhead line using RUS pole top and other assemblies based on client standards.Assembling bid package for construction of the overhead line design.Designing underground distribution systems.Knowledge of NESC and other applicable codes for the design of overhead and underground distribution systems.Minimum Requirements:BSEE or equivalent degree, 2 plus years direct experience in distribution line design or a combination of experience and education. Excellent communication, organizational, and writing skills are a must as candidates will be responsible for client interface and preparation of project design documents including technical design, plan & profile (structure spotting), staking sheets, contracts, and specifications.Salary commensurate with experience and education.
