Engineer - Level 10:

• 3 to 5+ years experience on Distribution specific projects
• PE is a plus, not required

Job Description:

One of the top AEC firms is seeking to grow their Distribution Modernization team in their Albuquerque, NM office by adding Engineering and Designer skill-sets. This is a pivotal role in modernizing electric utility distribution systems. This position involves working with 2D and 3D design tools to develop innovative solutions for distribution infrastructure projects while collaborating with a team of experts and clients in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Engineering:

• Develop detailed 2D and 3D designs for distribution systems using CAD or similar software.

• Create engineering drawings, layouts, and specifications for overhead and underground electrical distribution systems.

• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international electric utility standards.

• Project Collaboration:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to support distribution modernization efforts.

• Coordinate with clients to gather requirements, present solutions, and address project-specific needs.

• Engage with field teams to implement designs effectively and resolve challenges.

• Fieldwork:

• Conduct occasional site visits (10% travel) to assess distribution infrastructure and oversee design implementation.

• Collaborate with HQ teams in the USA as needed (travel fully expensed).

• Documentation & Reporting:

• Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and documentation for clients and internal stakeholders.

• Maintain accurate records of design changes and project milestones.
