Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Coordinate activities of the Order Fulfillment Coordinators, Distribution Technicians, and Distribution Clerks to ensure that scheduled tasks are met in timely manner and that all work performed meets the highest quality standards.
- Provide training and organizational guidance to ensure compliance with CMDIs, SOPs, cGMPs and applicable federal regulations and monitor performance on a regular basis.
- Ensure that the Order Fulfillment Coordinators, Distribution Technicians, and Distribution Clerks are accomplishing all tasks outlined in the distribution department task sets.
- Perform and review on-going analysis of existing facilities and equipment to ensure both are adequate to accomplish the tasks of the logistics department.
- Ensure that the activities of the Distribution department are performed in a safe manner and conduct regular safety training for the employees.
- Coordinate with internal customers (Logistics Project Managers / Coordinators, Inventory, and Receiving departments) to ensure a smooth, high quality workflow.
- Perform or assist in investigation related to the distribution department.
- Recommend enhancements to improve operational effectiveness after thorough cost and feasibility analysis.
- Establish good housekeeping practices and monitors for compliance.
- Prepare and provide management with on-going activity reports that reflect the key performance criteria for distribution department.
- Support the company by assuming responsibility for special projects that may be assigned.
- Ensure that staffing levels are adequate to accomplish daily tasks (current and projected).
- Determine priorities (when there is a conflict) to ensure that shipments are packaged and shipped in a timely manner and that material flow is conducted efficiently.
- Determine if requested material complies with SOP, CMDI, and Customer provided documentation.
- Report stock material, operating supplies, and clinical material requirements to Logistics Management and Logistics Project Managers / Coordinators.
- Adhere to set safety standards.
- Participate actively in regular meetings.
