Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization: This hourly position supports the operations leadership team by contributing to labor allocation, leading meetings, assigning job duties, coaching for success, creating a safe & collaborative work environment, and driving process improvement. This leader will act as cultural ambassador that views the business holistically. The role will be very technical and require strong problem-solving skills. Leads will work closely with department supervisors to monitor work flows, manage dwells, and drive overall shift performance. Key Relationships (Internal): Operations leadership team, Supervisors & Human Resources Key Relationships (External): Distribution consumers and stakeholders Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with supervisor to lead a team of up to 50 hourly associatesUnderstand and act as a role model in following all standard operating procedures (SOPs)Develop and maintain a safe work environmentAbility to reward and recognize performanceTrain and coach associates to achieve all operational goals and service levelsMentor and develop teammates to perform better in their current roles while preparing them for future career opportunitiesAbility to develop and share best practicesCreate a positive team environment that encourages all associates to provide insights and feedback to improve processes, adapt to an ever-changing business, and stay focused on customer satisfactionUtilize warehouse tools, including radio frequency hand held units (“RF Guns”) and computer kiosks, to update transactions within the warehouse management system (WMS) and log activities in the labor management (LM) module Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Required to speak, read, write and comprehend the English languageExcellent communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively within a large group of co-workersPositive and enthusiastic approach Strong knowledge of DC operations, including storage methods and material flowPerformance and metrics driven mindsetExcel, Outlook, Word and working knowledge of WMS principles Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:regularly required to talk or hear; stand or walk; use fingers, hands and arms to feel, handle, grip, grasp, lift, push and pull for up to twelve (12) hours/dayable to work in a warehouse environment and operate powered industrial equipment as requiredable to reliably attend work/scheduled hoursoccasionally required to sit; bending, twisting, climb or balance; lift and carry items such as boxes weighing up to forty (40) pounds; and stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of two (2) years related distribution experience and/or trainingRequired to speak, read, write and comprehend the English language Though our teammates hail from all corners of the world, our working language is English.
