Hello!
We are currently working with a manufacturing company in Hobart, NY in their search for a Distribution manager.
Outbound Shipments Targeted Service Levels Met
A. Oversees the transport of finished goods outbound and raw materials inbound on company trucks. Interfaces with corporate traffic management on carrier rate negotiations and selection.
B. Oversees the staging, labeling and loading of customer orders onto common contract or company-operated transportation equipment.
Distribution Center Facilities Audit Ready
A. Ensures all distribution center facilities are maintained in a manner that ensures effective management, movement, and GMP compliance for all materials contained therein.
B. Oversees and monitors the environmentally controlled areas of the facility. Reviews reports of variances and works with Engineering on troubleshooting and repair.
C. Supports all company safety initiatives and assures compliance with company safety policies, procedures and OSHA safety regulations. Resolves safety problems as required, investigates accidents and resolves at root cause level, supports and / or leads safety training and related safety requirements. Ensures departmental Safety Audits are performed monthly.
D. Ensures that distribution center activities do not create a negative impact on the environment.
Accurate, Traceable Inventory of Finished Products
A. Oversees the efficient and accurate selection of products ordered by customers and the proper packing of same for shipment. Processes documented needed for invoicing.
B. Oversees the placement of finished goods in the proper warehouse location.
This role has an excellent base pay, bonus, and relocation assistance.
