Job Type Full-time Description The Distribution Manager is responsible for receiving, warehousing, materials handling, order picking/packing, distribution, and shipping at the Company's Westampton facility and its two distribution centers in Texas and Nevada. The Manager provides leadership, training, and direction to the Receiving, Shipping, and Materials Handling functions. This position involves a high degree of interaction and cooperation with Materials Handlers, production, sales, management personnel, and freight carriers. Additionally, the Manager is responsible for implementing plans to improve productivity and efficiency, measuring progress and results, identifying and resolving problems to ensure goals are met, managing resources, and motivating and developing the workforce. This is a fast-paced position and requires a strong sense of responsibility, a positive can-do attitude, and a sincere dedication to getting the job done. Requirements

  • Manage, schedule, and notify staff of incoming shipments.
  • Manage warehousing of raw, component, and finished goods
  • Manage material warehousing and delivery to production.
  • Manage staff at distribution centers.
  • Arrange for the replenishment and transport of materials to distribution centers.
  • Oversee Pick & Pack operations and preparation of orders for shipment.
  • Coordinate the shipment loading arrangements and all domestic outbound transport activities. Determine best shipment method, prepare bills of lading for all outgoing shipments, and generate shipping paperwork for UPS and FEDX shipments. Provide shipment tracking information as requested.
  • Obtain rate quotes from freight forwarders as needed and prepare all required shipping documents
  • Maintain a schedule and arrange for pick-up with freight forwarders and parcel carriers for inbound, outbound, and drop-shipments.
  • Manage and oversee relationships with forwarders and carriers.
  • Work with Customer Service and Supply Chain personnel to investigate and mitigate issues
  • Constantly innovate and drive cost reduction, increase efficiency, and improve on-time delivery performance.
  • Provide quality support and initiative to further overall goals and objectives. Actively pursue continuous improvement of the shipping team.
  • Manage inventory cycle counting and investigate and mitigate all variances.
  • Monitor team performance. Conduct performance reviews
