DescriptionPurposeWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Distribution Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and compliant management of distribution functions within the cannabis industry. This position focuses on demonstrating proficiency in general cannabis distribution activities, serving as a resource on operations and compliance issues, and working with various departments within the company to maintain a diverse menu at each of our retail locations in Florida. Core ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Receive finished goods from multiple departments at the production facility, inventory all incoming products and maintain detailed records of incoming and outgoing products; ensuring accurate inventory is kept and in compliance with state regulations. Oversight and management of distribution team, including inventory specialists and delivery drivers. Create weekly delivery schedules for the vehicle fleet and the delivery staff; ensuring that retail stores always have a complete and diverse menu. Communicate with cross-functional Managers and Directors to motivate, enforce, and ensure overall success of the operation.Maintain collaborative logs and checklists as assigned.Work closely with the quality control department to ensure quality standards are being met.Conduct personnel development and performance management planning for all direct and indirect reports, including ongoing proficiency training and smooth onboarding of new employees.Participate in bi-weekly compliance audits to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory adherence across all cannabis departments.Enforce company Safety, Health, and Environmental policies.Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork and a positive work culture within the cannabis industry.Additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by management.Qualifications:Required: 3-5 years of experience in management and employee relations within the cannabis industry.Background in inventory/product distribution, particularly in cannabis, is a plus.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to positively influence and interact at all levels within the cannabis organization.Highly organized, with the ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced cannabis environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with a willingness to learn cannabis-specific software as needed.Ability to prepare correspondence and administrative reports with a focus on cannabis industry compliance.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on cannabis terminology and regulations.Capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced cannabis environment, managing high-stress situations, and adapting to changing circumstances.Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.Flexibility to work 7 days per week if necessary and adjust schedules as required within the cannabis industry.Passion for and knowledgeable about Cannabis.Passion for cannabis culture.Be at least 21 years of age.Ability to pass a level 2 background screening in Florida.Competencies:Thorough understanding of the Cannabis industryCommunication ProficiencyEthical ConductLeadershipRelationship ManagementPersonal Effectiveness/CredibilityWork Environment: This role operates in a warehouse with several environmentally controlled spaces. Environments inside production spaces are subject to large variations in humidity, temperature, CO2, and light exposure. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. This employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands or feet, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to lift at least 50 pounds. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work. Schedule: Monday - Friday Travel: This position will require light travel, occasionally overnight.
