Job DescriptionThe Distribution Manager leads and deploys the operational and logistical strategy, business processes, and systems for overall rental car fleet. Safely and securely coordinates transportation between Hertz locations and vendors, manages large hourly team of Transporters, and drives efficiencies and cost savings for all business segments.Salary: $58K - $73KA Day in the Life:Works under minimal supervision, local travel requirements only. Position requires flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays. May work outdoors and be exposed to current weather conditions.What You'll Do:
- Organize and coordinate fleet moves between Hertz airport location and Local Edition locations, vendors, auctions, and retail lots.
- Schedule and supervise large staff of hourly Transporters, working with vendor management as needed to coordinate coverage and shifts.
- Manage staff efficiency to meet performance and customer service requirements.
- Creative strong teamwork-based work culture
- Drive financial performance and lower costs by improving efficient vehicle logistics.
- Collaborate with Fleet, Operations, and Revenue Management Departments to assess logistics decisions based on contributory rentals.
- Work to supply security gate personnel the tools to ensure compliance with security and non-rev procedures.
- Verify validity of non-rev moves, ensuring all cars have been moved and documented properly.
- Manage daily and weekly administrative responsibilities including Payroll, ERS, locating missing cars, non-revenue vehicle reporting, verifying wholesales / turnback's, processing purchase orders and tow tickets, coordinating with local tow-vendors, requesting vehicle titles, and assisting with regional re-marketing efforts.
- Responsible for hiring, training and development, managing performance expectations, and accountability of large team of Transporters.
- Other duties as assigned.
