This position is responsible for managing the overall distribution process to ensure that products are shipped accurately and timely to meet customer needs along with providing visible and dynamic leadership to positively impact key initiatives. The Distribution Manager Trainee is to learn all aspects of the distribution center while rotating to various departments providing leadership and supervision of employees. Will learn all Distribution procedures, processes, equipment and systems. The manager trainee will complete a minimum of 6 months to a 1yr of training in the El Paso, Distribution center. After the training is complete, the position may transition to another Distribution center outside of Texas.ResponsibilitiesRotate between various departments and shifts providing leadership and supervision of employeesAcquires in-depth and a complete knowledge of the workflow within the distribution center.Follows a logical program from receipt of product in the DC, receipt of customer orders to the shipment of product to our customers.Will be required to answer specific questions about each functional area in the distribution center to ensure understanding of all processes.Works with Engineering and Distribution Management to develop knowledge of training principles, methods, and work measurement.Develops an understanding and firsthand knowledge of the different operations performed in the distribution center.Become familiar with policies and procedures within the distribution centerBecome familiar with Kontoor's safety structure and policiesCompletes special projects as assigned by managementWill be required to perform various warehouse processes during the training period and required to learn the expectations of all warehouse operations.Will be key personnel in implementation of new warehouse systems.Some travel requiredQualificationsYears of Related Work Experience: 0-2 YearsBachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering Required.Must be authorized to work legally in the United StatesMust be willing to relocate to any Kontoor location in the U.S.Must be willing to work both day shift and second shiftSkillsProficiency in or knowledge of using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Power Point)Strong Communication Skills (Oral, Written, Presentation)Strong Interpersonal Skills and the ability to communicate with employees at all levelsStrong Analytical abilityRequired English Overall ProficiencyBilingual English/Spanish preferredTypical Working Conditions:May work around equipment, such as conveyors and rolling stock, which could contain hazards.
