  • Initial Phone Screening: We start with a casual conversation to discuss the basic details of the position and to introduce you to our company culture. During this call, we'll also explain our interview process and answer any questions you may have.
  • In-Person Interview with HR Manager: You'll have the opportunity to meet with our HR Manager to further discuss the position, your qualifications, and how you align with our company values.
  • Background Check and Drug Test: To ensure the safety and security of our team and clients, we conduct a thorough background check and drug test as part of our hiring process.
  • Final Interview - A final interview is conducted with our Director of Operations and/or President. Based on the position, a working interview may be conducted at a rate of $12.50/hour until a final salary is negotiated with the President and/or Director of Operations.
  • SummaryThe Distribution Specialist is responsible for a variety of duties within the distribution center including but not limited to receipt and relocation of products, checking on inventory levels and communicating restock levels to the Distribution Center Manager and Fulfillment Manager, monitoring workflow to prevent bottlenecks and improve delivery lead times, reviewing orders and addressing damaged items and providing quality customer service. This position oversees the quality, shipping, handling and delivery of all finish and raw materials for customers of Palmetto Renovations of Columbia, Inc. in accordance with the guidelines and policies established by our company. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Receives, distributes, and stores products as directed in designated, secure locations within the Distribution Center (2000 sq ft - one story).
  • Prepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information.
  • Reviews shipments for quality and accuracy; reviews accompanying documents for accuracy and forwards documentation to the Distribution Center Manager, Fulfillment Manager and the Accounting Department.
  • Confirms shipping details or special instructions; expedites shipments that affect the status of pipeline and in progress projects of our Field department.
  • Load and transport materials, supplies, and finished goods.
  • Collects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment.
  • Coordination with the Distribution Center Manager on delivery of supplemental raw material and finish material orders for the Field department.
  • Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product final distribution.

  • Performs daily distribution center activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service

    Training, Education and Licensure
    • High school diploma or GED, Associates Degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in programs of similar size and scope
