This is a hybrid work opportunity, 2 days in office, based out of our Chicago or Boston Office.SummaryThe Distribution Support Consultant will report to the Head of Distribution Operations at Harbor Capital Advisors. Harbor's Distribution Support team aims to provide the platforms, tools, tactics, and processes such that the members of our Sales team can focus as much of their expertise on client interactions and, similarly, that our colleagues in Marketing be as unlocked as possible to focus on the creative impacts that they can deliver. Ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of asset management experience, demonstrating a keen understanding the priorities and points of friction within a distribution organization.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for maximizing the impact of platforms, tools, tactics and process across the wide Distribution team at HarborPartner with the Sales & Marketing organizations to prioritize and help effectuate improvements to the operating modelHelp in managing the distribution organization through changesWork collaboratively within the Distribution Operations team to connect technical and data oriented solutions with the aims of the Distribution organizationPlay a key role in the multi-directional communication across Distribution both as a voice of other parties within Distribution Operations and as the point of contact for Distribution Operations across DistributionLead projectsOwn key vendor relationshipsSupport the goals of Distribution, whatever it takesKey Behavioral ExpectationsDrives for ResultsCommunication & EngagementAgility & AdaptabilityMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree strongly preferred in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related major3-5 years experience in asset management / financial servicesExperience with Distribution technology (Sales & Marketing) preferredKnowledge, Skills & Abilities RequiredHigh sense of responsibility, trustworthiness, and a strong work ethicExcellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbalEntrepreneurial, exhibits creativity, and is comfortable working within a highly regulated environmentOrganized, self-starter with a positive, poised, polished, can-do attitude and the ability to follow through and complete tasks in a team environmentAbility to work independently and with other team members under pressure and prioritize competing tasks that require the highest level of attention to detail and accuracyExperience dealing with sensitive, highly confidential matters, which require the highest degree of diplomacy, confidentiality, and discretion in communicating informationHigh competency level with Distribution technologySummaryLocation: Chicago Office; Boston OfficeType: Full time
