POSITION SUMMARY The individual in this role will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and optimization of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) at our Distribution Center. This role will bridge the gap between IT and operations, ensuring that the new system aligns with operational needs and captures efficiency improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in WMS implementation, system analysis, warehouse operations, distribution management, and project management. They will also play a critical role in managing stakeholders across different departments, IT teams, and the global WMS implementation team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WMS Implementation: Lead and manage the WMS implementation project at the DC, ensuring timely and effective deployment. Collaborate with IT and operations teams to define system requirements that meet the needs of the distribution center. Ensure the WMS integrates seamlessly with existing systems and supports operational efficiency. System Analysis: Analyze current operational workflows to identify areas for improvement through WMS capabilities. Conduct gap analysis between existing processes and the new WMS functionalities, recommending solutions to bridge identified gaps. Monitor system performance post-implementation, providing continuous improvement recommendations. Operations & Efficiency: Work closely with DC operations to understand their processes and challenges, ensuring the WMS enhances productivity and efficiency. Identify and implement new functionalities or workflows within the WMS to drive operational improvements. Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to WMS performance and operational efficiency. Project Management: Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, resources, and budgets for the WMS implementation. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and global implementation teams, to ensure project milestones are met. Manage stakeholder communications, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues. Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact between DC operations, IT, and other departments for all WMS-related activities. Engage with global WMS implementation teams to align on best practices and share insights across regions. Facilitate training sessions and workshops for end-users to ensure effective system adoption. Other Participate in a collaborative work environment utilizing effective communication and willingness to cross train to enhance team productivity, versatility, and skill development. Comply with comprehensive safety protocols and participate in ongoing training to ensure a secure work environment and maintain a safety-conscious culture. Follow all 5S principles and guidelines daily to optimize workflow, efficiency, and a clean work environment. Travel requirements: less than 10% of the time, both local and internationally. QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, & Skills required) Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Over 5 years of experience in warehouse management systems (WMS) implementation and system analysis. Proven experience in warehouse operations and distribution management. Strong project management skills with a track record of managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders. Experience managing cross-functional teams and preferred global organization familiarity. In-depth knowledge of WMS systems and their application in distribution environments. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate operational needs into system requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies. Knowledge of safety and security procedures. Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, Lean Daily Management, and Strategy Deployment methodologies. Proficient in reading and interpreting various documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and thoroughness in work. Proficient in completing tasks in a timely manner, with effective time management skills. Advanced proficiency in utilizing ERP systems, along with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Employment Type: Full Time
