As a certified B corporation, Rhino is working to use business as a source for good.As a Distribution Team Member, you will support the distribution team in a fast-paced environment running smoothly and effectively. You will be learning to become proficient at loading/unloading contract trucks, providing ingredients to production lines and moving finishing product once produced. In this role, you will be a crucial team member in ensuring that production starts and continues toward achieving daily goals.What you'll accomplish:
  • Gather and organize necessary ingredients, packaging materials, and supplies according to production specifications.
  • Plan the order in which ingredients are loaded onto trucks and the frequency of deliveries needed to the plant based on production schedule.
  • Properly report, remove, or correct damages prior to transfer of material.
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to transport materials within the warehouse.
  • Read and follow automated instructions for materials required for each production run.
  • Escalate complex issues and concerns to higher-level distribution team members or supervisor.
  • Collaborate with the Logistics Manager to ensure that all raw ingredients are in place for the week's production.
  • Utilize email, Microsoft applications, and other internal software for daily communication between facilities, shifts, and departments.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team members.
  • Participate in the daily Master Sanitation program.
  • Participate in department, team, and company meetings.
  • Perform other assigned duties which directly contribute to Rhino Foods objectives.
RequirementsWhat you'll need to succeed:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in food production or manufacturing.
  • Upon hire, required to complete the following certifications: PIT (forklift, scissor lift, JLG lift, power walkie)
  • Ability to support others in following written and verbal instructions and safety requirements.
  • Ability to work as a respectful member within a collaborative team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in group and individual settings.
  • Ability to anticipate and solve problems, make decisions, support others under pressure and know when to escalate more complex problems.
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy and a commitment to maintaining product quality.
  • Ability to utilize a computer to effectively communicate and document information based on established practice.
  • Ability to give, receive and act on feedback, respectfully express opinions, and listen to others.
  • Ability to organize information, develop schedules, goals and timetables and assure they are attained in a timely fashion.
Flexibility is essential in Rhino's ability to respond to short-term demands and ensure smooth operations during busy times.
