Wenger Corporation is seeking a Distribution Warehouse Clerk to join our team in Owatonna, MN. As a Distribution Warehouse Clerk you will contribute to Wenger Corporation's strategy to provide an exceptional customer experience by maintaining inventory accuracy, minimizing errors, and ensuring timely delivery of products to customers.
This job might be for you if you have:
- The skill and ability to work in and among multiple areas under minimal supervision
- The ability to read and interpret shipping documents
- The ability and willingness to obtain a valid lift truck license
Highly qualified candidates may also possess:
- Experience with materials management
- Class A CDL
As a Distribution Warehouse Clerk, a typical day might include:
- Performing a wide variety of support duties, including but not limited to common carrier and small parcel distribution warehouse management, inventory, and materials handling, according to established procedures, practices, and standards within and among areas assigned
- Anticipating and planning how to provide the highest level of production and shipping support based on substantial working knowledge of numerous parts, materials, and processes; consistently contributing to the effectiveness and efficiency of overall results
- Completing all paperwork in a timely, accurate manner, notifying coordinators and/or Managers of missing and/or questionable data to help avoid production/shipping delays and downtime
- Maintaining inventory accuracy by means of cycle counting and updates system as necessary
- Evaluating order for discrepancies, and suggests ideas for corrective action
- Assisting our manufacturing team with timely pickup of finished goods and placement into warehouse locations
- Develops and maintains a thorough working knowledge of material locations, and continually reviews location information or maps
- Making suggestions that contribute to maintaining a safe work environment and help minimize hazards to co-workers
