Job Description
The Virginia Cooperative Extension Family Nutrition Program (FNP) Support Technician (PST) serves as administrative support for the district FNP Area Coordinator and provides administrative and program functions for the district. Responsibilities primarily involve: performing program evaluation and reporting activities, such as reviewing records, entering evaluation data, and generating quarterly and annual reports; and managing program budgets and performing accounting procedures, such as reconciling budgets and processing travel expenses. Other duties include: supporting team functions and communication; coordinating program grants and resources; providing HR/hiring support; supporting programming activities; and participating in professional development activities.
The Family Nutrition Program Support Technician (PST) is an employee and representative of Virginia Cooperative Extension and works under the supervision of the district FNP Area Coordinator.
Required Qualifications
* High school graduation or G.E.D.
* Experience using computer applications (Word, Excel)
* Experience monitoring multiple budgets and managing multiple databases with accuracy
* Experience following written and oral instructions with limited guidance
* Experience with data entry, compiling data, and following complicated procedures
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Quicken
* Experience preparing accounting reports and processing accounting forms
* Experience creating reports
* Customer service experience and experience working as part of a team

Must have reliable transportation
Travel required occasionally for job duties and occasional overnight travel for required trainings
Valid Driver's License and reliable, personal transportation required and must be maintained while employed. Vehicle must be compatible with transporting needed teaching materials
Computer literacy including Word, Excel, email, and video-conferencing
This position is not eligible for full-time telework
The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check.
