INTERNAL POSTINGBELLINGHAM PUBLIC SCHOOLSBELLINGHAM, MASSACHUSETTSTITLE: DISTRICT LITERACY LEADERSHIP TEAM (DLLT)POSITION SUMMARY:Implementation and monitoring of the K-5 ELACurriculumThe purpose of the District Literacy Leadership Team (DLLT) is to plan for the support of the new K-5 Wonders curriculum and instructional practices, continue with professional development support, and monitor progress toward intended results.REPRESENTATION SOUGHT:
  • Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment
  • Memorial School Principal or Assistant Principal
  • Elementary School Principal or Assistant Principal
  • Literacy Specialists
  • 6 Classroom Teachers (one from each grade)
  • 3 Special Education Teachers (1 from each school)
  • 1 ESL Teacher
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Engage in tasks associated with identified scope of work: * Use core, supplemental, and intervention literacy curricula in a multi-tiered instructional model at each grade level effectively and strategically * Collaborate through shared knowledge, skills, language and collaboration among teachers based on the essential components of literacy and evidence-based instructional practices
  • Serves as a liason to colleagues regarding informational practices
  • Represent other teachers in the process
2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR COMMITMENT:
  • One monthly meeting over the course of the school year - during the school day - release time/subs provided
  • Willingness to complete work in between meeting dates as described above
SALARY: Per hour stipend at the BTA contracted rate (for any out of school time work)REPORTS TO: Assistant SuperintendentOUR MISSION:The Bellingham Public School District's enrollment is approximately 1,930 students and an organizational staff of 400 employees.
