Unit DescriptionSodexo is seeking a District Manager, who will be responsible for maintaining an excellent client relationship and ensuring high customer service standards with DECA (Defense Commissary Agency) Deli Bakery Operations located on the East Coast, from Maine to Georgia.This District Manager is a remote-based position that will oversee 34 units along the East Coast. The District Manager will report directly to the Vice President, Operations and directly oversee a management team of over 30 salaried managers. This individual will be directly responsible for over 40M in annual managed volume throughout all the sites. This individual would provide operational oversight at the direction of the VPO and will provide support to management in the daily oversight of key functions and employees during the normal course of business.The ideal candidate would reside on the East Coast, preferably in the mid-Atlantic region. There is travel involved in this position throughout the district which would require site visits roughly 50% of the time. We are seeking candidates who will actively engage our customers to strategically take our programs to the next level.Duties will include the following:
- Work with each client and the Vice President in all matters relating to contract and account operations in order to establish and maintain a solid and mutually beneficial business relationship that ensures account retention.
- Develop a business plan and budget for the accounts with the General Managers.
- Manage through managers to achieve Sodexo objectives.
- Ensure the execution of product and service quality by maintaining the highest level of delivery.
- Promote and support workplace diversity initiatives as well as create a positive work environment.
- Responsible for successfully coordinating and directing all activities within the assigned geographic area through subordinate managers, supervisors, and employees including financial performance, client retention, and employee training and development.We are seeking a leader with:
- A work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills, as well as previous leadership experience and the ability to work collaboratively.
- A background in Grocery Retail and/or Deli Bakery management experience is a must.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and large teams, demonstrating professional communication skills, and a passion for exceptional customer service and client relations.
