We primarily perform civil infrastructure projects including earthmoving, dams, roadways, water resources, concrete paving, and underground utilities. We are looking for hardworking individuals with a passion for construction who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty!Responsibilities
  • Promote and maintain effective communications and relations with district management, project management teams, and client representatives as required.
  • Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and supervise district and project quality control personnel (including quality inspectors and quality managers).
  • Coordinate quality control staffing needs on projects and assign qualified personnel.
  • Assist project teams in the development of the Project Quality Plan and participate in project start-up and job planning. Assist in identifying the proper Inspection and Test Plans (ITP's), checklists, and other documentation for the project.
  • Approve Project Quality Plans and quality risk assessments.
  • Monitor and report district quality incidents.
  • Support projects with technical reviews and interpretation of construction codes and standards.
  • Maintain, update, and distribute district quality documents.
  • Undertake training and maintain certifications as required.Qualifications
    • Candidates should possess excellent oral and written communication skills, have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, be proficient with engineering and project management software, and have excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, or similar scientific or technical discipline and 5+ years of related quality management experience, performing functions as outlined above, or an associate's degree and 10 years of related quality management experience.
    • Prior quality management or testing and inspection experience with state DOTs, US armed forces, or other federal, state, or local agencies may be given special consideration.
    • Will also consider candidates with demonstrated strong construction operations background combined with relevant education.
    • Preferred certifications - CCQM, ASQ, CQE, USACE CQM, ACI, WAQTC, ASCE AWS, CWB, API, ACI.Other Requirements:
      • Work productively and meet deadlines timely.
      • Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
      • Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
      • Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
