We primarily perform civil infrastructure projects including earthmoving, dams, roadways, water resources, concrete paving, and underground utilities. We are looking for hardworking individuals with a passion for construction who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty!Responsibilities
- Promote and maintain effective communications and relations with district management, project management teams, and client representatives as required.
- Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and supervise district and project quality control personnel (including quality inspectors and quality managers).
- Coordinate quality control staffing needs on projects and assign qualified personnel.
- Assist project teams in the development of the Project Quality Plan and participate in project start-up and job planning. Assist in identifying the proper Inspection and Test Plans (ITP's), checklists, and other documentation for the project.
- Approve Project Quality Plans and quality risk assessments.
- Monitor and report district quality incidents.
- Support projects with technical reviews and interpretation of construction codes and standards.
- Maintain, update, and distribute district quality documents.
- Undertake training and maintain certifications as required.Qualifications
- Candidates should possess excellent oral and written communication skills, have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, be proficient with engineering and project management software, and have excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, or similar scientific or technical discipline and 5+ years of related quality management experience, performing functions as outlined above, or an associate's degree and 10 years of related quality management experience.
- Prior quality management or testing and inspection experience with state DOTs, US armed forces, or other federal, state, or local agencies may be given special consideration.
- Will also consider candidates with demonstrated strong construction operations background combined with relevant education.
- Preferred certifications - CCQM, ASQ, CQE, USACE CQM, ACI, WAQTC, ASCE AWS, CWB, API, ACI.Other Requirements:
