Location: Statewide, NY, US **Spirit to Win** McGraw Hill has an immediate opening for a K-12 **District Sales Manager** for **New York City** who is responsible for driving revenue through dynamic leadership and innovative sales solutions. You will play a dynamic role throughout the sales organization by serving as a key stakeholder that creates and maintains territory strategy, data/analytical reporting, build and maintain key customer relationships. Serving as the subject matter expert on territory knowledge, you will serve as the frontline manager to an elite salesforce. The District Manager role focuses on Coaching, Team Culture, Data & Analytics, Territory Strategy and ensuring Alignment of Systems & Processes. Candidates must reside in the greater New York City area or be willing to relocate. Will lead a team of 4 Sales Representatives and is responsible for recruiting, training, coaching & developing the team. In collaboration with Sales Leadership, the District Manager will set and maintain the territory sales strategy while providing training, guidance, and support to the team to achieve sales goals. Is responsible for generating sales revenue by maintaining budgeted expense/sales ratios, overseeing & monitoring the development and implementation of sales plans and strategies. Is responsible for growing and cross-marketing product sales in the K-12 Core, Supplemental, Intervention, Assessment and Platform programs in traditional and educational technology markets. Will forecast regional sales results and inventory needs regularly and accurately. Will work alongside the sales representative, professional learning director and curriculum specialists to prepare for key customer presentations and assure contingency plans are in place. Stayed informed on product needs, market conditions, promotional activities, business opportunities, sales trends, and competition strategies/activities on a regular basis in monthly reports, marketing plans, and other written communications. Monitors and ensures constant and consistent use of Salesforce by their respective team members to ensure territory strategy plans are being executed, pipeline and sales opportunities are updated, call standards are met and that customers are receiving the touchpoints and information needed. **What youll need to be successful:** -Bachelors degree required. -8+ years of territory sales experience required, strong preference for previous Sales Management experience. Vast experience and understanding of K-12 educational market. Ability to analyze/forecast sales, manage/deploy multi-million sales budget, maximize ROI in open territory state campaigns. Previous success in coaching/developing/managing a field sales team; strong training/development skills. Proven results in sales goal attainment, pipeline management and sales strategy execution. Ability to develop relationships with key customers. Desire to travel daytime and overnights (at least 50%). District Sales Managers must be highly motivated, out-of-the-box thinkers, with the ability to converse and partner with senior leaders while also managing a team of successful sales representatives. Ideal candidates will be located in NYC and possesses rapid adaptability to the ever-changing educational landscape and work to provide solutions that drive towards improved student outcomes.
