BASIC FUNCTION:

This position is the primary focal point of contact between the Lifting Hardware Division of Kito Crosby and its customers. Accomplish territory sales and gross profit margin objectives consistent with the annual Business Plan. Maintain and service major customers and prospects within the territory.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Business or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience selling industrial products to distribution or OEMs preferred. Experience with material handling, rigging, or lifting products desired. Must be able to communicate professionally with the ability to speak, read, write and understand English; build relationships and demonstrate knowledgeable experience in Microsoft Office software.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Achieve agreed to sales and gross profit margin levels consistent with annual Business Plan and within annual budget guidelines. Any loss in existing business should be replaced with new business to achieve budget.
  • Maintain expense account within budgeted levels and be fiscally responsible.
  • Develop and maintain territory and personal growth objectives with management direction for strategic implementation and achievement.
  • Insure that agreed to prospective accounts are systematically called on with adequate frequency to insure they are developed into customers. Follow up on quotes and maintain weekly itinerary while reporting sales progress through CRM package.
  • Must be able to speak effectively before individuals or groups of customers, suppliers, or other employees. Must have good time management, planning, and negotiation skills.
  • Partner with distributors to find, prospect, and drive specification at end users. Determine field activities to support and execute including product, sales and application training.
  • Evaluate and respond to monthly sales and gross profit margin data as required utilizing sales reports provided and those you have access to.
  • Frequent weekly travel within your territory (day and overnight) to maintain strong business relationships and cultivate new ones.
  • Regular attendance, communication and meeting committed deadlines are all essential elements of the job. These requirements are key to the operation and effectiveness of this position and if not in place have the potential to impair and diminish expected results.
  • Other duties as assigned.
