Noninstructional/Support - Position Job Number 370####### Start Date Open Date 10/14/2024 Closing Date 10/21/2024 Perform technical services in the Communications and Monitoring Center to ensure the safety of students, employees, facilities of the District. This position will be the first line of communication with parents, administrators, Law Enforcement, Fire and Emergency/Medical agencies. Responds to emergency and non-emergency calls for law enforcement, fire and emergency medical services. Identifies and dispatches appropriate public safety units; complies with District policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all students and personnel. High School Diploma or equivalent and three (3) years of experience related to this field.NOTE: The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position1. Monitor and assist with the performance of approximately twelve (12) software solutions which includes MicroKey, DSX, Access It, Synovia Bus Tracking, Accu Weather, Vi Monitor Plus Cameras, Mutualink, i-Sight Case Management, FOCUS, Skyward, Lightspeed (self-harm and threats to others district-wide), and RAVE Panic.2. Liaison between District and Law Enforcement, Fire, and Emergency Services. 3. Receive and communicates to the appropriate agencies any suspicious activity as it relates to the well-being of students, employees, and facilities (burglary, fire, potential threats/harms to/from students, etc.) 4. Internal Liaison among departments, functions, groups and schools within the district.5. Address questions, concerns and requests from members of the public.6. Maintain and control records. Includes logs, cost records, personnel records, rosters, and general records.7. Process Cafeteria Freezer alarms and calls for Maintenance.8. Monitor and communicate updates on any inclement weather to the proper personnel. Broadcasts emergency weather bulletins to school sites and facilities. 10. Monitor over 2500 cameras around the District to ensure safety of students, staff, and facilities. 11. Receive and process subpoenas for legal matters concerning preservation of video and alarm data. 12. Maintain all district emergency drill records. 13. Requires ability to display knowledge of applicable state and departmental policies, procedures, regulations, rules, statutes, and acts governing the safety and security of the school district. 14. Requires the ability to display a familiarity with basic emergency management guidelines. 15. Requires to the ability to interpret, explain, and apply laws, rules, policies, and regulations. 16. Requires the ability to deal with the public in an effective, courteous, and cooperative manner. 17. Assist law enforcement agencies on matters of a sensitive nature. 18. Coordinates logistics of access at district sites. Troubleshooting as needed. 19. Coordinates after-hour emergencies. 20. Assists the American Red Cross with the opening of all emergency shelters. 21. Must be available to work shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays and during weather events such as Tropical Storms and Hurricanes to handle emergency operations. 22. Central Station Processing ? process in-coming signals from fire ala, Security alarm, and CO2 alarm. Discern next steps to complete signal which involves contacting law enforcement, Fire and/or key holder to site. 23. Work with outside service vendor daily, site testing for fire system. This testing has to be completed monthly at all sites. 24. Assist DCF with needed student information during and after hours. 25. Monitor all elevator emergency call buttons in the district and contact EMS, Fire and elevator service department. 26.
