We are a diverse community with ~1700 students enrolled in Greenfield Public Schools (preschool through grade 12). There is one preschool, three elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. The District Data and State Reporting person manages our PowerSchool Student Information System (SIS) database, enters and maintains staff and work assignment data, coordinates and maintains student data, stores the grades, handles Massachusetts state reporting including SIMS, SCS, EPIMS, SSDR, School Choice, SAC report, etc., trains faculty and staff in the use of PowerSchool, as provides student and staff data as needed. The District Data and State Reporting person reports to the Director of Technology and collaborates with principals, information technology (IT) staff, and building educators in the use of data and the preparation of Massachusetts state reports such as SIMS, SCS, EPIMS, SSDR, School Choice, SAC report, etc. The primary responsibilities of the position are: - Maintains Student Information System (SIS) as well as the SIS database sandbox, where previous years' data are stored - Handles state reporting - Ability to initiate and complete data transfers, including auto exports and PowerQueries - Ability to manage SIS plugins - Able to customize the SIS database and its various screens - Coordinate and maintain student data - Enter and maintain all staff data, MEPIDS, work assignment information - Provide student scheduling assistance - Create and execute object reports, report card design, and template letters - Store student grades - Handle Massachusetts state reporting, including SIMS, SCS, EPIMS, SSDR, School Choice, SAC report, etc. - Yearly setup and rollover of the database and school year including all calendars and attendance - Train faculty and staff in SIS data access - Assist administrators and staff with uploads of student and staff data for computer-based assessments such as NWEA, MCAS, and ACCESS - Reports to work daily on time - Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
