The District Patient Access Supervisor is responsible for overseeing Patient Access operations across the multiple facilities within the district. This role includes supervising daily operations related to admissions, overall patient flow, registrations, insurance verifications and authorizations to ensure an efficient patient experience. The District Patient Access Supervisor works closely with the Patient Access leadership and staff to implement standardized procedures and best practices across all locations. This position is responsible for monitoring performance, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, and providing support to resolve operational issues. The District Supervisor will also play a key role in training and developing staff, ensuring they adhere to department policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities include managing key performance indicators (KPI's) across the district such as quality, productivity, denials, training and cash collections. This positon also leads conducting regular audits to ensure process compliance, and making recommendations for improvements based on data analysis and feedback from staff. This role collaborates with the Patient Access leadership team and other department leaders to support strategic initiatives to enhance the Patient Access department performance.
Proficiency in English and relevant computer software (e.g., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, internet, e-mail). Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience in a supervisory role, preferably in healthcare. Experience in Patient Access or a related field is preferred. Performs other duties as assigned by the management team. Follows Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards.
