Position Type: Technology Date Posted: 9/19/2024 Location: Districtwide Date Available: Effective Immediately Closing Date: Until Filled Description: The District Webmaster is responsible for managing and maintaining the district's website, ensuring it is user-friendly, up-to-date, and accessible to all users. This role involves working closely with school webmasters and district staff to support communication goals and enhance the district's online presence. Knowledge of SchoolMessenger is preferred. Part-Time - 16 hours per week. Key Responsibilities:
- Website Management: Develop, update, and maintain the district's websites, ensuring accurate and timely information is available to students, parents, staff, and the community.
- Content Creation: Create, edit, and manage content, including text, images, videos, and other multimedia elements, ensuring consistency with the district's branding and communication standards.
- SEO & Analytics: Optimize websites for search engines and use web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to monitor site performance and user engagement. Provide regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
- Accessibility & Compliance: Ensure all websites comply with relevant accessibility guidelines.
- Security: Implement best practices for web security to protect against threats and ensure the privacy and integrity of user data.
- Support & Training: Provide technical support and training to school webmasters and other staff on website management and content creation. Respond to inquiries and troubleshoot issues promptly.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the admin team, IT department, and other stakeholders to support district initiatives and projects.
- Emergency Communications: Assist in managing emergency notifications and updates via the district's websites and other online platforms.
