For more information, please visit our MDHHS Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Plan.Intern Responsibilities / Projects:Initiating contact with Court Administrators to determine if unclaimed restitution, criminal assessments are being collected and if so, where and how they are being distributed to increase compliance with mandated reporting and submission of both to the Crime Victims Fund.Outreach to Circuit, District, and probate courts to form relationships with the court administrators and clerks in each court to create a streamlined process to ensure compliance amongst the courts with the statute.Training courts on the assessment reporting application to increase confidence amongst the courts with the use of the programMDHHS is proud to be a Michigan Veteran's Affairs Agency (MVAA) Gold Level Veteran-Friendly Employer.Required Education and ExperienceAt the time of internship, must be currently enrolled in a undergraduate or graduate program in the following: Social Work, Psychology, criminal justice, or Human Services.Hours:25-40 hours a weekMaterials:The intern will be provided necessary resources, materials and documents to ensure acclimation to the role.
