The Millennium Divisional Chief Information Officer plays a critical role as a strategic and operational leader in driving digital transformation, enhancing clinical and operational efficiency, and ensuring the secure and effective use of technology across the division. This role emphasizes close collaboration with the business unit's leadership to achieve Millennium's strategic goals by leveraging technology as a transformative enabler.Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Mosaic Health CIO and Millennium senior leadership to develop and execute a divisional IT strategy that aligns with Millennium's strategic goals and Mosaic Health's overarching objectives. Identify opportunities for leveraging technology to drive business growth, improve patient outcomes, streamline operations, and achieve competitive advantages. Serve as the primary IT leader and advocate within the Millennium Physician Group Business Unit, ensuring alignment of IT initiatives with business unit priorities. Foster a collaborative environment among Mosaic Health's enterprise technology teams to ensure alignment and synergy in achieving overall business unit goals. Coordinate with other divisional CIOs and Mosaic Health leadership to share best practices, resolve challenges, and leverage technology solutions across the organization. Promote integration and partnership across teams to maximize the impact of enterprise-level technology initiatives on business unit success. Oversee all IT operations within the Millennium division, ensuring systems and infrastructure meet the needs of providers, staff, and patients. Partner with clinical and operational leaders to optimize the use of the Millennium Clinical Platform and other core systems, directly contributing to the achievement of business unit goals. Ensure IT service desk and inventory operations support the division effectively, maintaining high levels of satisfaction and performance. Lead the divisions' transition to cloud-based infrastructure in alignment with Mosaic Health's IT strategic development. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure readiness for cloud migration, including system integration, security, and scalability considerations. Leverage cloud technologies to enhance agility, reduce costs, and support Millennium's long-term strategic objectives. Collaborate with the enterprise data warehouse team to ensure business unit reporting needs are met efficiently and accurately. Develop and maintain robust business intelligence reporting tools that provide actionable insights for clinical, operational, and financial decision-making. Partner with business unit leaders to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting requirements that align with Millennium's strategic objectives. Facilitate data integration and ensure consistency in reporting standards across the organization. Participate in the quarterly governance and planning committee for the enterprise project management office (EPMO). Work closely with the EPMO to align divisional IT projects with organizational priorities and methodologies. Ensure that IT initiatives are effectively planned, executed, and monitored in coordination with EPMO standards. Provide project oversight and support to ensure timelines, budgets, and deliverables meet business unit requirements. Facilitate communication and collaboration between project teams and stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes. Develop and manage the IT divisional budget, aligning financial planning with Millennium's strategic objectives. Optimize resource allocation by leveraging talent and infrastructure across Mosaic Health's business units, minimizing the need for additional headcount. Partner with the Mosaic Senior Vice President of Information Technology and the Vice President of Clinical Systems to ensure proper resourcing for projects and day-to-day support services for the business unit. Partner with the Mosaic Health cybersecurity team to implement and maintain robust security protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as HIPAA, HiTech, HITRUST, SOAR, and Zero Trust. Monitor and address potential risks to protect patient and organizational data. Provide leadership to IT directors, managers, and staff within the Millennium division, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and professional growth. Act as a mentor and senior leader to IT professionals, promoting collaboration and high performance across teams. Ensure that IT initiatives are designed and executed to directly support Millennium's strategic priorities. Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients. Perform other related duties as assigned.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in information technology or healthcare IT, Computer Science, or a related field; master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPHIMS, CHCIO) preferred. 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience. 7+ years of experience in a senior management role within the healthcare industry. In-depth knowledge of healthcare IT systems, particularly Athena Health's EMR, healthcare AI, advanced data warehousing, cybersecurity, data analytics, emerging technologies, and interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR). Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and drive strategic initiatives. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovative solutions and continuous improvement. Demonstrated understanding of clinical systems, healthcare operations, and regulatory requirements. Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans. Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, enterprise systems, and healthcare IT solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Expertise in budget management, resource optimization, and project execution. Commitment to delivering secure, reliable, and scalable IT services. Ability to align IT initiatives with business objectives and drive measurable outcomes. Primarily office-based, with some travel (25%) required to Mosaic Health and Millennium Physician Group locations. Availability to address critical issues outside of regular business hours as needed. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.Physical DemandsSedentary work.
