Dock Hand- Day ShiftSalary Range:$20.00 To 26.00 AnnuallyShipping Dockhand Roles and ResponsibilitiesRole: Dockhands at Triton Metal Products are responsible for safely and accurately inventorying, packaging, and loading products to ensure we meet our corporate goals.BehaviorAlign with the Triton Way and our core valuesBe a team playerHave a positive attitudeResponsibilitiesLoading and UnloadingReceiving Shipments: Inspecting incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.a. UPS/FedEX/USPS boxes inspect, count and receive in Mie Trak and deliver to proper locations.b. Outsource product returning inspect, count, verify and turn in paperwork to Shipping Administrator to receive in Mie Trak.Loading Trucks: Efficiently and safely loading finished products onto trucks for delivery.Unloading Materials: Unloading materials and supplies from incoming shipments.Preparing shipmentsa. Accurately pick product for all customers.b. Prep product to customer or TMP standards for shipping.c. Verify that product is correct and labeled correctly.d. Spartan Fulfillment Center ProcessInventory Managementa. Inventory Tracking: Keeping accurate records of items received and shipped.b. Stocking: Organizing and stocking materials in designated areas. Assign all parts a location.c. Inventory Counts: Participating in regular inventory counts to maintain accuracy.d. Dispositioning all stagnant inventory.Equipment Operationa. Forklift Operation: Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.b. Safety Checks: Performing routine checks on equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.c. Maintenance: Reporting any equipment malfunctions and performing minor maintenance.Quality Controla. Inspection: Checking the quality and quantity of materials being loaded or unloaded.b. Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of inspections and shipments.c. Compliance: Ensuring that all materials meet company and regulatory standards.Safety and Compliancea. Safety Procedures: Adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.b. Training: Participating in ongoing safety and operational training.c. Hazard Management: Identifying and addressing potential safety hazards in the dock area.Coordination and Communicationa. Team Coordination: Working closely with other team members and departments.b. Assist Paint line with any forklift needs.c. Occasionally assist Machine Shop and Final with forklift needs.d. Help paint line assemble tanks when needed.Housekeepinga. Cleanliness: Keeping the dock area clean and organized.b. Waste Management: Properly disposing of packaging materials and other waste.c. Maintenance: Assisting with the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility.d. Keep all dunnage organized and staged.
