Summary: Assist in the shippingof bakery products.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Unload all stales and place in designated stale area
- Shrink wrap all pallets and stage for shipping Coordinator to prepare to ship
- Work with the receiving department to make sure any incoming product staged on the dock is moved off the dock same day.
- Load trucks per-shipping dept instructions.
- Responsible to check the refer temp/fuel send report to QA end of day
- Do a count of equipment on hand to make sure there is enough equipment for the shift.
- Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards
- Use computer system to record completion of work orders in a timely and accurate manner
- Move packaged goods from traying area to assigned location in shipping or storage area.
- Lift finished products, and packed items manually or using lifting aids
* Accurately count finished products to determine if product orders are complete* Mark or tag identification on trays, stacks or boxes as necessary* Read work order, instructions, or other documentation necessary to complete the task* Examine products or work to verify conformance to specifications* Load, unload, or stack trays, materials, or boxes, etc.* Responsible for participating in all activities set out by the company in support of the Food Safety Modernization Act.* Cover for Shipping Coordinator for breaks, lunch, vacation, etc.* Maintain a clean & safe work area at all times, as well as maintain all Food Plant GMP's* Everyone has responsibility to support and follow our Food Safety and Food Defense programs.* Any other associated tasks as seen necessary by supervisory personnel. Physical Requirements:* Must be 18 years or older and work/stand up to a maximum of 12 hours per day* Repetitive movement, bending or twisting; bend to grasp objects and climb ladders* Stand and walk for extended periods of time, up to 4 hours without a break* Bend and lift loads not to exceed 50 pounds unassisted or 100 pounds with assistance. * Demonstrated proficiency in the proper use of equipment and computersWork Environment:* Working in very hot temperatures (>90 degrees F) seasonally* Pace is determined by the speed of equipment or machinery * Ability to work in a noisy environment with the possibility of being exposed to flour, gluten, eggs and wheat via inhalant or food handling* Must be able to work a variety of shifts including weekends, evenings and holidays* Must be able to work on a variety of floor surfaces including tile and concreteIntellectual Requirements:* Being exact or highly accurate* Writing, reading comprehension, speaking, communicating, strong mathematic skills* Computer literate* Bi-lingual a plus
