DescriptionA Duie Pyle is seeking a full-time Inbound Dockworker to work in our Manassas, VA terminal. Our freight handlers are responsible for safely transporting freight on and off trailers, and verifying related documentation via the electronic or manual systems. Prior forklift experience is preferred. Often, our dockworkers are asked to maintain a flexible schedule, including but not limited to day and night shifts, weekends and or holiday work.Start time: 1:00AM Tuesday through SaturdayPay Rate: $23.30 per hour. Rate will increase to $28.00 after 12 months of employmentThe responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:Loading and unloading freight on trailers using appropriate equipment – forklift or electric pallet jackPicking, staging, and securing freight inside trailers to insure safe transportUtilizing document management system to track and monitor freight shipment locations throughout the terminalCommunicating with terminal personnel and driversOperating with a customer service first mentalityPosition qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent, preferredPrevious forklift or material handling equipment preferredPrior experience in warehousing, freight and/or logistics preferredAbility to follow all company and government safety rules and regulationsAbility to read, write and speak English; communicate effectivelyBenefits will include:Medical, Dental, Vision and Life InsuranceWellness Program for yearly benefits discountPaid vacation and PTO; paid annual holidaysShort Term and Long Term Disability401 (k) retirement with Company matchAnnual Corporate Profit Sharing (100% employer paid)A.
